The copyright holder of the legendary Fellini film La Dolce Vita brought the producers of the gay porn [Michael Lucas’] La Dolce Vita to court this week and lost!

International Media Films’ case against the porn version of [Michael Lucas’] La Dolce Vita, which is said to be one of the most expensive gay porns ever, didn’t impress the judge.

The judge stated the company failed “to show that it has sufficient admissible evidence from which a reasonable fact finder could conclude that it was the copyright owner of the Fellini film.”

“In fact, it is possible for the Fellini film to be in the public domain,” the judge concluded.

Porn producer Michael Lucas released a statement, saying that he’s “proud that [his] company won a case of such magnitude” and that his company “had the professionalism, the quality legal advice and the financial resources to stand up to this bullying.”
