Bianca Del Rio | The Drag Queen’s History At Lucas Entertainment
Bianca originally made a guest appearance in the 2010 film Kings of New York, where she, writer Michael Musto, and former Big Brother star Steven Daigle sat in acerbic assessment of an open audition that eventually turned into an adult encounter between Daigle and Zach Alexander. Bianca went on to host the Kings of New York launch party alongside the movies director, mr. Pam. The Eagle NYC provided the event’s location.
Bianca Del Rio returned to the Lucas Entertainment set in 2013 to reprise her role in the first season of the relaunched Kings of New York. She and Derek Saathoff, best known as a television personality starring on The A List: New York, co-hosted a mock talent show (during which the drag queen Busted made an appearance) which eventually led into — you guessed it — an adult encounter, this time featuring Jesse Ares and Landon Conrad.
Bianca Del Rio is the drag alter ego of Roy Haylock, who began performing as a drag queen in 1996 in conjunction with his successful career as a costume designer. Bianca relocated from her native New Orleans to New York City, where she co-hosted drag shows alongside the New York drag personality Lady Bunny.
In 2014, Bianca appeared on the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where she eventually took home the crown, beating out Adore Delano and Courtney Act. She went on to star in the 2016 film Hurricane Bianca, which was written and directed by Matt Kugelman. Bianca is current on her Blame It On comedy tour.
